About Musaica
Welcome to Musaica a mosaic art studio where broken pieces find new life, colours dance, and ancient inspiration meets a modern touch. I am a mosaic artist based in South Africa. I fell in love with mosaics many years ago, inspired by the ancient Roman artists who used tiny fragments to express what mattered most to them - stories and symbols that still move us today.
I believe in giving old things new stories. Some of my pieces include upcycled crockery or household items, celebrating the idea that a small chip shouldn’t mean the end for something beautiful. Cherishing and caring for what we own means embracing each mark and crack.
For me, working with mosaic is about balance — order and chaos coming together in unexpected beauty. I love how each carefully placed tile brings texture, depth, and movement to a piece. Whether it’s a wall-hanging, a table centre-piece or an urn, I create art that feels alive.
All my mosaics are handmade with care and intention. I currently ship anywhere in South Africa and welcome anyone who wants to bring a living, touchable piece of mosaic art into their space.
